"Structure-preserving Computational Methods" minisymposium at DMV-ÖMG 2021
Organzied the minisymposium at the online international conference

The DMV-OMG international conference was organized by University of Passau, Germany, from Sep 27 - Oct 1. I had organized a minisymposium on "structure-preserving computational methods" which was well-attended. There were 7 speakers from 5 different countries in the minisymposium who had stimulating online interactions with one-another during the research talks and afterwards in breakout rooms.

Paper published in JCAM (Elsevier)
Projected exponential Runge–Kutta methods for preserving dissipative properties of perturbed constrained Hamiltonian systems.

In this paper, we develop geometric integrators for dissipatively perturbed Hamiltonian systems with constraints. The proposed integrators are able to preserve the phase space of the system and conformal symplecticness. Higher order geometric integraors for the system can be obtained by composition.
